Arthur Godsil

Arthur Godsil holds an MA degree from Trinity College, Dublin and an M.Ed from The College of New Jersey. He has been involved in international education as a teacher and administrator for 36 years. For 23 of those years Arthur was Headmaster of St Andrew’s College, Dublin, a 1250-student school serving the local and international community offering the International Baccalaureate, Leaving Certificate and US High School Diploma and AP programme among other curricula. The school gained accreditation from the Council of International Schools (CIS) and from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). St Andrew’s is also is a member of the European Council of International Schools (ECIS).

Martina Makin

Martina Makin joined Godsil Education in July 2019 and with over 30 years experience brings a dedicated and detail-oriented approach to our Accounting function.

After completing a Bachelors of Commerce at UCD she joined Ernst & Young on their graduate programme where she worked on a wide variety of large audit clients as well as completing numerous small business placements. Once she qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Ireland she headed to Australia to spend five years in Sydney working for a prestigious Law firm and undertook further study to become a member of the Australian Chartered Accountancy body and an Income Tax Professional.
Martina leads by example and enjoys learning new ways of doing things. Self improvement using education has been important in all aspects of her life and career and working with Godsil Education is enabling her to assist with providing study opportunities for young people in safe, supportive environments.

Emma Godsil

Emma, a Trinity College graduate, founded Godsil Education in 2013 with her father, Arthur. She has over 20 years’ experience working with individuals, schools and other stakeholders in a range of educational settings. Her qualifications in humanities, psychology and quality management combined with her experience in teaching, autism and mental heath – all culminated in a very appropriate skillset for the guardianship sector. Emma enjoys working with our international families alongside our partner schools to ensure we support students’ positive experiences here in Ireland. Emma loves coming to work each day she says as no two days are the same! She also enjoys the family-like ethos that comes with a family-run business – let our family look after yours!

Ciaran Bent

Dr Ciaran Bent always had a vocation to be a General Practitioner. He is a Bachelor of Medicine and is a Registered Medical Specialist in General Practice. He is also a member of the Faculty of General Practice.

He has five children. He worked in the Children’s Hospital Crumlin and was awarded the Diploma in Child Health. Dr Ciaran is a Bachelor of Obstetrics and worked in the Rotunda Maternity Hospital. He was awarded the Licentiate in Midwifery, the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and also the Diploma of Obstetrics Royal College of Physicians. He provides a fully comprehensive service for smear testing, STD testing & contraception. He was awarded the Advanced Certificate in Family Planning for fitting Mirena Coils & Implanon Implants. He was also awarded the Certificate in Family Planning, Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology/ Royal College General Practitioners. Dr Ciaran worked in three different Psychiatric Hospitals and deals with all Psychological and Psychiatric problems at practice level. He is a Bachelor of Surgery and performs minor surgery to remove warts, moles, skin tags, ingrown toe nail etc. He also worked in Orthopaedics and injects Frozen Shoulders, Tennis Elbow, Golfers Elbow, and Calcaneal Spurs in the heel etc. Dr Ciaran treats a wide variety of skin conditions. He worked in St Anne’s Skin and Cancer Hospital and also St Luke’s Cancer Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of medicine.

Conor Bent

Conor has a very diverse, cross product and accomplished background in digital media and advertising, having spent time in the publisher, direct sales and marketing spaces. Conor has worked in client services and account management in Facebook and Yahoo and other boutique agencies before joining Godsil Education. Conor is a wonderful team player, quick to build relationships and identify peoples’ strengths. Conor is solution-focussed and enjoys bringing all these skills to his role as Operations Director within GE. A past pupil of Blackrock College himself, Conor understands the boarding school system in Ireland. He is incredibly caring and inclusive and is passionate about serving the young people in our care.
