Godsil Education (GE) Terms and Conditions

Peace of Mind Programme (POM)

This Godsil Education Terms and Conditions sets out the terms and conditions under which Godsil Education shall provide services and support to students during the period of their membership of the Godsil Education Peace of Mind (POM) Programme.

By becoming a member of the Godsil Education PoM Programme and by completing and signing the Application Form, the parties agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions as set out hereunder.



1. Definitions

  • 1.1. 'Agreement' means the agreement made by the Student with Godsil Education by becoming a member of the Godsil Education PoM Programme and includes these terms and conditions, the Application Form, together with any other relevant and/or appropriate form(s), and any other document(s), or service agreement(s) which from time to time are required by the University or Godsil Education or referred to herein.
  • 1.2. 'Application Form' is the online GE form completed by the Student applying for membership of the Godsil Education PoM Programme.
  • 1.3. 'Student' means the member of the Godsil Education PoM Programme to whom this Agreement relates, as detailed in the GE online application form.
  • 1.4. 'University' means the post high school institution at which the Student is enrolled from time to time.
  • 1.5. 'Ireland' means the whole island of Ireland.
  • 1.6. 'Fee' means such sum(s) due by the Student from time to time and payable under clause 2, including, but not limited to, the fee the Student pays for Godsil Education's services.
  • 1.7. 'Programme Brochure' means the brochure for the PoM Programme.
  • 1.8. 'Programme' means the provision of a GE POM Programme as detailed in our literature from time to time as arranged by Godsil Education for the Student.
  • 1.9. 'Term Time' means the time during which the University is officially open for the reception of students in the normal course of their education, tuition and pastoral care during the Programme.

2. Fees

2.1. Subject to clause 2.2 and 2.3, in consideration for Godsil Education arranging a PoM Programme for the Student and fulfilling its obligations under this Agreement, the Student agrees to pay such monthly sums in accordance with the membership of the PoM Programme.

  • 2.1.1. In the case of a University Student enrolled in the PoM Programme arriving later than the start of term and requiring assistance with Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) registration and associated documentation, the relevant fee will be calculated from the start date of the term.
  • 2.1.2. For a University Student arriving in Ireland later than the start of term, a one-month delay in providing services shall be in force with the exception of assisting the Student with registration at the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB).

2.2. If Students fail to pay by the designated monthly dates, additional charges may apply or may result in a cancellation of the Programme.

3. Godsil Education's Obligations and Duties

Subject to payment of the Fees, appropriate expenses and financial commitments, and subject to the Student adhering to the obligations and duties set out in this Agreement and Application Form, Godsil Education:

  • 3.1. Shall act as a support for the Student during the period of the Programme as detailed in the PoM Programme Brochure.
  • 3.2. Shall liaise on behalf of the Student with the University, and other third parties throughout the duration of the Programme when required. Godsil Education's responsibility for the execution of services is detailed in the PoM Programme Brochure and the Student is required to familiarise themselves with the specific services provided by GE in relation to PoM membership.

3.3. The following services are included in the PoM programme:

  • 3.3.1. Pre-departure orientation
  • 3.3.2. Airport 'Meet and Greet'
  • 3.3.3. Immigration Registration assistance including documentation preparation
  • 3.3.4. Personal Public Service Number (PPSN) application including documentation preparation.
  • 3.3.5. 24/7 Emergency Phoneline - see clauses 3.8 and 4 for details
  • 3.3.6. Dedicated Medical Clinic access
  • 3.3.7. Opening bank account assistance

3.4. The following services are provided and organised by GE, but attract relevant and additional fees:

  • 3.4.1. Airport or other transport transfers
  • 3.4.2. Chaperone services including requested meetings and administration
  • 3.4.3. Interpreter services
  • 3.4.4. Medical consultations, prescriptions and associated costs.

Travel and transfers

3.5. Shall organise any required airport transfers on request. All transfers must be agreed between Godsil Education and the Student in advance. Please consult GE for costs of transfers as prices may vary depending on the distance of the University or Accommodation from the airport, the availability of transport, the time of day, the number of passengers and amount of luggage. Delayed flights may result in an additional cost of transfer.

3.6. Shall provide an airport welcome to Students in Ireland if requested.

Irish Residence Permit (IRP)

3.7. Shall arrange for the accompaniment of the Student at the appropriate government agency to obtain Irish Residence Permit card if requested.

Personal Public Service Number (PPSN)

3.8. Shall arrange for the accompaniment of the Student at the appropriate government agency to obtain a PPSN if requested.

Emergency

3.9. Godsil Education shall provide a 24/7 emergency phone helpline for the Student for the duration of the Programme.

  • 3.9.1. The emergency 24/7 supervision and management service is provided strictly on a fair-usage basis and is intended for use only in exceptional and unforeseen circumstances. The service is not designed to be accessed on a recurring or habitual basis. In the event that multiple requests for emergency services are made by or on behalf of a Student, Godsil Education reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate the Student's membership of the PoM Programme without further notice.
  • 3.9.2. Any additional costs incurred by the Student in the case of an emergency, including, but not limited to airfares, emergency accommodation, additional transport costs, medical supplies, food and other provision for the Student and any other requirements are the sole responsibility of the Student.
  • 3.9.3. In all cases, Godsil Education will require authorised representatives of the Student to attend in person as soon as practicable if emergency attendance by Godsil Education personnel is required after the first 24-hour period which commences from the initial call to our emergency phone line.
  • 3.9.4. In the event that Godsil Education's attendance is required after the first 24-hours, additional fees will be applied.

4. Limitations to Godsil Education's Obligations and Duties

4.1. The PoM Programme is designed to provide temporary emergency support and general assistance to Students without a history of medical or other conditions which require regular professional support. Godsil Education reserves the right to refuse membership of the PoM Programme to a Student where the applicant's medical or other history is such that an unreasonable burden of support may be required to effect the services provided by Godsil Education.

5. The Student's Obligations

It is important to understand that Godsil Education cannot accept any responsibility for Students if they are not present in Ireland either as a result of diverted, cancelled or missed flights or any other reason when enrolled in the Programme.

The Student:

  • 5.1. Agrees to pay and remain liable for all Fees in respect of the Programme as set out in clause 2 above. The Student also agrees to pay all cancellation fees in respect of cancellation of the Programme in accordance with clause 6 below.
  • 5.2. Shall not act in such a way as to prevent Godsil Education from carrying out its obligations under this Agreement in a proper and reasonable manner.
  • 5.3. Accepts full responsibility for informing Godsil Education of all details relating to a requested transfer for the Student in a timely manner.
  • 5.4. Further accepts that Godsil Education cannot be held responsible for any failure in respect of such transfers that fall outside the responsibility of Godsil Education or by failure of the Student to notify Godsil Education.
  • 5.5. Shall arrange appropriate insurances for the Student, including but not limited to, medical insurance and travel insurance for the entire period of the Programme and while the Student is in Ireland and shall provide Godsil Education with authenticated proof of such insurance if requested to do so by Godsil Education.

6. Cancellation of Programme Policy

  • 6.1. Students may cancel this Agreement without penalty for a period not exceeding 14 days following the registration of the Student in the Programme on condition that the Student has not arrived in Ireland and/or services have not been supplied by Godsil Education.
  • 6.2. In the event that a Student wishes to cancel this Agreement after 14 days and prior to the arrival of the Student in Ireland commencement of the Programme by a registered Student, the Student is liable for:
    • 6.2.1. One month's fee
    • 6.2.2. Any expenses incurred by Godsil Education on behalf of the Student.

7. Photograph and Identifications

Godsil Education retains or may take photographs of Students for our own identification purposes, for inclusion in written reports, to assist our drivers with identification at the airports and other relevant documentation as required by state authorities. It is agreed by the Student that the defined use as above of such photographs is essential for the effective operation of our Programmes and Students agree to such limitations of use.

From time-to-time Godsil Education would like to use these photographs in promotional material in our brochures and on our website. Godsil Education will seek permission from Students for any such publications.

Godsil Education will manage its data in compliance with Irish law relating to data protection as defined in the Data Protection Act 1988 and the Data Protection Act (Amended) 2003 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), 2018.

8. General

  • 8.1. In the event of any provisions of this Agreement being held to be void or unenforceable such provision shall be deemed to be severable so that the remaining parts of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect to the exclusion of the void or unenforceable provision.
  • 8.2. This agreement is drafted in the English language and the English language version of this Agreement shall prevail if there is a conflict with any translation of this Agreement.
  • 8.3. If the Parent or Student has a complaint or concern about the service received from Godsil Education or Homestay Accommodation, Godsil Education can be contacted directly by:

All complaints will be dealt with in strictest confidence and will be fully investigated.

Irish Law

This Agreement and any agreement and any other matters relating to the Programme shall be subject to Irish Law and the Student undertakes to submit to the jurisdiction of Irish Courts in respect of any matters arising thereof. The Students acknowledge that Irish Law may be different from the law of their own country and are advised to take independent legal advice before entering into this Agreement.
